Challenges

Prior to Passport 360, Anglo American managed their safety and quality entirely on paper. Contractors experienced frustration with the Onboarding process.

The process often caused delays and was inefficient. Safety personal were tied up in paperwork as opposed to managing real safety issues on Site.

With the increased need to track and manage compliance, Anglo American’s Head Office continue to utilise, for a second consecutive year, the benefits of our cloud-based solution. We have implemented a System that assists in managing the compliance of their Projects, as well as Individual Contracting Employees.

Our recent development allows the Contracting Companies to book Individuals on the System for training as required by Anglo American, which can be tracked using the LMS System. We have engaged with a number of Service Providers to understand the value add, and this is how they responded: “The system is easy to use”, “The system really helped manage compliance online”, “This has reduced our Onboarding time”, “When I want my SHE file, all I have to do is click print” and, “We have saved on printing costs”.

Results

After Passport 360 was implemented, turnaround time for Contractor Onboarding has reduced, and time and money have been saved as a result. Management can track and monitor Contractor Compliance anywhere, anytime, in real time.
